Mulching Services FAQ
What size trees can you mulch?
- Hardwood trees: 4–6 inches in diameter
- Softwood trees: 8–10 inches in diameter
Brush, saplings, and dense overgrowth are also easily processed.
How deep does the mulcher go into the ground?
Our forestry mulchers can mulch up to 2 inches below ground surface, helping break down surface roots and leave a clean finish.
What happens to the debris after mulching?
All vegetation is mulched in place. There is:
- No hauling
- No burning
- No debris piles
The mulch helps protect the soil and reduce regrowth
What types of projects are mulching services best for?

Stump Grinding FAQ
What stumps can the STUMPEX handle?
The Fecon STUMPEX can process:
- Stumps 8–28 inches in diameter
- Up to 20 inches deep
Larger stumps can be completed by making additional passes.
How is STUMPEX different from a traditional stump grinder?
- Up to 10× faster than traditional grinders
- Low RPM, high-torque operation
- No high-speed flying debris
- Safer work zone for residential, farm, and commercial sites
How deep are stumps ground below ground level?
Stumps are ground below ground surface, allowing the area to be regraded, seeded, or built on without excavation.
Is cleanup required after stump grinding?
Minimal cleanup is required. Chips stay close to the stump area, and we leave the site
clean and manageable.
